Hmmm ; interesting ; did we loose the plot of this :
READ IT :

>>>TechNet<<<  ???

Bill, Why don't you simply describe the events and ask for "advice" ; that's
what for the Net exists ;
apart from IPC's agendas .
Let the community make up their minds (not yours); gettin my drift ?
There's no difference between blowing caps or equipment ; just an issue to
address .
To address the issue we have to be specific .
If all the clever spammers can use this technique to generate interest ;
(remember Jack's brown note not so long ago, right or wrong ,?);
why not us in good will ; in this day and age of lawyerish soapies (sucked
in) .

Gosh ; I hate to teach old foxes how to suck eggs

Paul

PS
This IS just the right place for it ; otherwise we can all read the glossy
brochures ;
or Sunday papers (smt magazines) when we get fired for incompetence .
That reminds me , one of the Motor issues found the only difference between
Carrera 4 and WRX B (or STI?) is $100K .
Perhaps we worry too much .
Mostly I'd agree with the three wise ones reflecting previously . See no
evil,..........
Aspirin for Norman, please

Subject: [TN] : Ramifications

To all 'netters:

Thanks for all the responses and assistance regarding my request for sources
for picture frame pallets. I really appreciate it !

I would like some inputs and advice from the Tech-Net community at large.

Consider the following:

I recently purchased a piece of electronic manufacturing process equipment.
The cost of the item was between $10 - $30 K. I would like to inform the
community about the very poor service and technical support from the
manufacturer and sales rep. The intent of disclosing this kind of
information is to inform others who may be considering a similar purchase to
be aware of these shortcomings when purchasing this item.

This is not a "single event" occurrance, this is month after month of not
responding to e-mails, faxes, and phone calls. I am frustrated beyond
tolerable limits.

What then are the risks disclosing this kind of information on this forum?
Is it important for us to share bad experiences with the hope that perhaps
corrective action from the offending party may take place if disclosure
results in "lost sales"? Maybe this is not the right place for this?

Your thoughts and comments are welcomed.
