I ditto the comments of Mike and others. They ARE HAZARDOUS waste and MUST
be dealt with properly or YOU AND your management could be subject to
severe countermeasures.

        I believe I was the respondent to your original post, maybe the
other folks thought one reply was adequate. To reiterate, they are
considered hazardous waste by state and federal regulatory agencies, you
do not want to get caught tossing these in the trash. The fines are
swift and substantial, and would bring about a detailed inspection of
your entire facility and processes on all fronts. If they're in a bad
mood, they just might close you down until they feel comfortable with
your compliance. If you can get Alpha to take them with your paste
containers, that should be a no-brainer. Even if you have to pay to have
them properly disposed of, it's a lot cheaper than a citation in the
long run. Elevate it above the supervisor until you get someone to pay
attention to the serious potential of a violation. It only takes one
disgruntled employee with an anonymous complaint to have inspectors
knocking on the door....
