We are currently manufacturing a new production line which uses carriers
which traverse around a moving line for assembly prior to going over a wave
soldering machine.
The problem is the carriers are made of an FR4 type material but what
material can be used as stops on the underside of the carriers to stop wear.
The tool maker has tried metal stops (steel) but these pick up solder. Even
stainless steel causes problems because a film of solder picks up on stop
and causes problems when it falls off on the line.
Thanks,
Neil Atkinson
