Jim,

I don't know what the "E" stands for but I have the same head for my 100.  I use
it for everything from SOIC-8s to a .4x.6x.25" filter pack.   I've replace the
bearings on the actuator and make periodic adjustments to the centering jaws but
it seems to chug away for me.
