<< Hello,

I sent this message earlier and I know a few of you responded, but I
received a message stating that it was a rejected posting. So, I changed
the subject heading in hopes it will go through. If you receive this
 message again, I apologize.

I am looking for a low cost software that will do layouts for PCB's that are
low density. I have tried what Electronic Work Bench offers, but was not
happy with it. I have recently seen in a magazine, a software called
TraxMaker PCB layout(Ver 3.0) $279.00. Also, There was a software called
WinBOARD PCB layout. $129.95. I have used Tango in the past and I realize
that the low cost versions do not stack up to that or any of the other
$2000.00 + packages. Has anyone used any of the low cost software that I
have mentioned or does anyone know of any software that is $500.00 or less
that is good for simple layouts. Any suggestions will be greatly
 appreciated.

 Thanks,

Hi ya Jim!

How about some software for FREE? If you go to:
http://zener.8m.com/links_soft.htm you'll find a virtual smorgasborg of
shareware, freeware, and demos (with certain functions disabled) available
for the downloading! Ya' could find something simple there to do what you
need. Plus at this site, there's all kinds of freeware and shareware
calculators, conversion programs, viewers, graphics programs, etc.! So many I
almost wet my pants! hehehe!

If you click on the little "Home" button on that page, it'll take ya' back to
the beginning where there's ANOTHER selection of links that will keep ya busy
downloading for a while. Plus on that page there's a quote from Einstein that
I really like! I Looked at the hit counter that's on that page and I can't
believe it's only been accessed 437 times...what a goldmine!

I've pasted the contents section below from the
http://zener.8m.com/links_soft.htm page, and each one of those is a link to
another page where all the programs you can download will be along with a
description of each file.

Have fun!
