Hi ya'll...

Seeing how it's the weekend, and not much traffic on the TechNet, I gotta
little diversion that maybe some of you may be interested in.

I have a good buddy (Ben) that works in Mountainview, California for the SETI
Project (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence). He's a technician that
does upgrades on the electronics and routine maintenance on the reciever
antenna in Arecibo, Puerto Rico.

Anyway, he reminded me that they finally released the software for SETI@Home,
which is software that allows 'Net users like you and me to use our computers
to help crunch the numbers from the data that the radio telescope in Puerto
Rico gathers. Who knows, your computer might be the one that discovers a
signal from other life in the universe? That would be pretty good starting
conversation at a party, wouldn't it?...heheheh

Either site has instructions of how to install the software and a FAQ about
