Hi TechNet - the "new" system doesn't think that I am a member so here is a
response that bounced back. (Jack - was this just a hint for me to stay off
TechNet :)  Don't ya love software changes!)

Hi TechNet! Bill is correct! The phase diagram that Michael found out on
the web is very incorrect! I didn't pay much attention when I first took a
look at it but that diagram is wrong. It shows a eutectic temperature of
175 and eutectic end points of approximately 10% and 91% when they should
be 183C, 19% , and 2.5% respectively. I would suggest we find a better web
reference than this. Jason - did you receive an accurate Pb/Sn phase
diagram? What I faxed over is not correct!

Not sure about this phase diagram- it shows eutectic at 175. I always
thought that it was 183...
