Teo,
When I started with my present company, they had a vibrator installed on the
rail of our oven. As you noted, their intent was to compensate for minor
skewing caused in our case by an aging Dynapert 318. I immediately
uninstalled it. My take on this is that while you may correct some skewing,
you are probably disturbing the solder as it attempts to cool. A better
solution is to correct the placement issues at the source, i.e. the
pick-and-place equipment.

One of our supervisors attached a vibrating mechanism to the rail on the
reflow
oven. This helped align some skewed and shifted components. I have never
heard of this before. It appears to work, but there are some issues with
finding optimal frequencies, etc.
Is anyone using any technology similar to this?
