Dear Technetters,
I have a double side surface mount board with an edge connector.
The connector slides on the edge and has leads on both sides on the
board at a pitch of 0.05". There are about 30 leads on each side of the
board. We are planning to attach this as one of the final assembly
processes but how. Can we use a mini wave solder pot to create the
solder joints or should we order a custom solder tip (0.05" x 1.68") so
we can heat up all the leads on one side at one time and then feed in
wire solder as needed?

Any and all ideas would be appreciated. If anyone knows of an automated
or semi-automated 'hot bar' solder method, we are interested.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.
