Dear colleague,

Due to changes in the industry and a revision in progress for IPC-4101, Bob
Konsowitz, Glasteel Industrial Laminates, Laminator Qualification Profile Task Group
(3-11h) chair, has decided to begin work on a revision to IPC-1730, Laminator
Qualification Profile.

We are looking to the industry for comments and recommendations on IPC-1730 now that
you have had a chance to use the document on a regular basis. For those of you who do
not have the document but would like to review it for comment, it is available on the
IPC web site for free download:

http://www.ipc.org/html/downloads.htm

We ask that you take the time to review the profile and supply any comments you may
have to me no later than June 4, 1999. Comments can be supplied in any manner, but if
you would like an official IPC comment form on which to provide comments, please let
me know.

Should you have any questions or comments on the review of IPC-1730, please feel free
