Everyone has to be different. We do it the exact opposite. Our lots
produced during the first week of January 2000 will be marked "0001".

From a data point of view, doing year/week seems to make sense. Sorting
in descending order would be like looking back at history. If you put
week first, then year, when you sorted in descending order, won't all
the lots produced in a given week in various years appear next to one
another, rather than list in a chronological order?

And when we're done with this, about getting the US to do something
other than Month/Day/Year. And metric!
