     Dear Technetters,

Resistor and Capacitor components in surface-mount version use Pb in
the conductor paste ( e.g. Pb-enamel in AgPd-paste for multilayer
     capacitors).
Will these components, due to the Pb in the enamel-conductorpaste, be
affected by the Lead ban ?
I didn't see any exception for the use of Pb-containing paste in
WEEE2-draft. (For Pb in picture tubes and light-applications
     exceptions are made.)
Does this mean that all other use of Pb (or Pb-oxydes) will be
prohibited, even when this is used in small quantities as in
     chip-resistors or capacitors ?

PS: Does it also affect the decorative glass industry (crystal) ? That
would mean the end of this industry.
