Graham,
You may want to consider sending your parylene coating out if your
quantities don't justify the vapor deposition equipment. Both SCS
(1-800-356-8260) and Paratech (1-800-999-4942) sell the equipment or
will perform the coating service for you.
Also, keep in mind that its solvent resistance, which is of course good
for a coating, also makes it difficult to remove (not that we'd ever
have to remove coating from a board to rework it!). You may want to
look into the removal process a bit. I believe that there are machines
available for this and that they use something similar to a mechanical
grinding process to remove the coating).
