I have always had great success with Nikon comparators, and they have
     a plethera of models and options. Good Luck.

I was just advised we are in the market for an Optical Comparator.
I sure could use some advise.

Specs so far are:
Manual or Semi-manual
3 axis (2 axis if the cost is to high)
100X or variable including 100X
maybe even an output to a monitor
resolution to .0001 inch


I would love to hear both horror stories and praise on what works best
for the buck.
