Fellow tech-net readers:

Does anybody know if the NASA soldering spec NHB5300.4(3A-2), dated 1992 is
going to be revised ? In many different ways it is behind the times.

One area of my concern is the limited number of solvents that can be used
according to paragraph 3A312 of this document. Most of the materials listed
are Ozone Depleting Chemicals, which are more or less banned. We're using
isopropyl alcohol.

Has anyone working to this spec gotten any different materials for cleaning
flux, approved by NASA?

Anyone out there using FluxoffCZ, from Chemtronics, for any applications?

Please respond through the net or if you prefer, directly to me at
