        Roberto,

                We're using SQFP240's (.5 mm or .020" pitch) here with the
following dimensions:

                Pad:            .084 x .014
                Solder Mask:    .094 x .024
                Paste Mask:     .084 x .014

                The solder and paste mask values are adjusted by our
manufacturer to suit their requirements.
                You can see that we're using a wider pad than you are,
although this leaves only about .006"
                between the pads. The wider pads take up the lateral
positional movement in the leads.
                These values seem to be working out well for us.
