     96 X 10 mil sounds like my kind of pads!!!

     I like those dimensions.

     Actually it depends on the dimensional tolerance, minimum and maximum
     outer dimensions.

     I would use 12 mil wide, and 70 to 76 mil long should be sufficient.

     I recommend 76 X 12 pads, ( check your component leads will fit at
     maximum outer dimension ), solder resist 82 X 18 and solder stencil 76
     X 10.

     There will be no problems using 96 mil long, it will only improve the
     repeatability. If you can get it, use it!!
