Dates:
No need to splain that, my Access already knows dates beyond y2k.
(Enter dates as 1-apr-99 and 1-apr-00, set display format to wwyy and see
the results --- no sweat. The only said thing is that ww is shown as one
digit for weeks 1 through 9. But when using yy, the year is always displayed
with 2 digits. So 1Jan2000, or 1Jan00 is 100 and for yyww it is 001.)

Dates:
Suggestion: whenever you use a date, use three alphas for the month rather
than two digits. In that way there will be no confusion between people from
different countries.
(1-6-99 is either 6jan99 or 1jun99, depending on where you come from.)

Metric:
I have tried for 30+ years to get people to use the metric system. But the
change is going so slowly I can hardly call myself successful.
(The first time I got into trouble with the "Imperial"  system was when I
wanted to cut an 8x4 ft piece of plywood into 7 equal pieces to make 5
shelves. It is much easier to do that with a 244x122 cm piece of plywood.)
In my present company we work with dimensions in the micro-meters and
everybody has learned to work with and discovered the ease of use of the
metric system.
