Dear Francis,
The "behavior" of tin-lead plating solutions with respect to cathode current
densities is generally to favor tin deposition over lead with increasing
cathode current densities. You may want to monitor your alloy across the
panel should you make any major changes in your plating current density.

Subject: [TN] Change in current densities in a Macdermid
Tin-lead bath
I used current density 15mA/cm**2 in our Macdermid tin-lead bath for
5
min. and I got 110 uin. with a 67% tin. But when I change the
current
densities to 7.5mA/cm**2, I got 140 uin. with a 75% of tinfor 10
min..
My question is will a change in current densities in a Macdermid
tin-lead bath screw up the composition of Tin and Lead?
