Techneter's
I am presently writing the procedures for pwb cleanliness requirements
that our board suppliers must meet inorder to deliver PWB's to us that
will be used in a No Clean process. The questions I have are:
What is the specification (Bellcore/IPC) that is being required, that
is industry recognized, on the board suppliers that would guarantee a
cleanliness level?
Is ROSE testing an acceptable test for the board suppliers to perform
to guarantee this cleanliness level?
Is MODIFIED-ROSE test an acceptable test for board suppliers to
perform to quarantee this cleanliness level? (Recognize that the
MOD-ROSE test is not an approved industry standard todate)
Once you have the PWB suppliers qualified, what is the requirements on
your incoming inspection that would be evidience that the pwb
suppliers are meeting the cleanliness requirements? Is it a C of C?
What is the method used to monitor the cleanliness level as a
measuring stick? Is Ion Chromatograph the measuring stick? How often
is this measureable performed?
I would appreciate any guidance you Techneter's can give me!
Thanks
Donn Steffen
