Hi Technetters, Mr. Engelmaier,

first of all sorry for my "less than perfect english" I never had the chance to get an english course out
side germany. Hopefully you are able to pick up the following note.

I am working within the biggest european company of electronic products. Also this companies is a member
of the technical adviser for the EU department which tkes care of this lead and halogene free topic.
Unfortunately it looks like that the EU goverment is not willing to change the content of the proposed law.

Our people of Brussel told us that it might be able that the law will shift 1 or 2 year but not change in
the content.

So please consider if the law will be realized not only the products produced in Europe will effected but
every products imported to europe or only handled in Europe also. And the proposal for this law is only
to steps (goverment meetings) away from the realization.Means approx. half a year.

This political people with no technical background (mostly) which are discussing such laws based on the
technical informating base means that there are companies in the market making promotion tours and
institutional advertising with halogene free and lead free electronic products. Like laptops, TV and
standard
computers. Considering this who of us should be able to change the mind of this political guys.

Therefore I looking for potential solutions which may be able to realize within 2 year because to wait for
the
law might be not the right way.

Hope Mr. Engelmaier you understand why I am a little bit upset with some companies which are dealing with
advertising of products not in a fair way.

Regards
Achim
