Hey Graham -

Thanks for the addition - like you, I'm a little leery of what the "expert"
said, or at least the words used in the media to describe what they thought he
said.  Not that this could not have occurred, but it sounds like and awful lot
of supposition, with no indication that supports established fact.

In my recollection, the U.S. military "limited usage" rather than "banned
usage".  There is, and has been for many years, a limitation on PTFE jacketed
wire as a result of its cold flow charactaristics.

Guess I've gotten somewhat skeptical since I've grown into geezerhood.
