Hi TechNet - The IPC Fall meeting in Minneapolis MN on October 25-28 is
going to have a "lead free !/?" focus and I anticipate that the next IPC
Surface Finishes Conference would as have a lead alternative focus. As hot
a topic as this issue is becoming I would also anticipate other portions of
the electronics industry (SMTA, EIA, SMART, etc.) will attempt to offer
some type of forum for the publication of industry investigations. The IPC
Fall meeting is the only "set in stone" conference I am aware of at this
time. If anyone in TechNet land does hear of other such conferences please
put out a short note.
