Are you related to Jack Kerr past D.C. Navy interconnect ghuru? He was a good man doing what needed doing during some very
interesting times (Reagan bust ass anti-cold war, raise the debt ceiling, and give us all military development job stuff). If
not, it sounds as if you are inheriting some of the same issues.
You know the drill. De-gold electroplated leads, castellations, end terminations, etc. From a board standpoint, the drill is
no longer valid as long as the coating is applied as electroless "flash" gold not exceeding about 7 millionths" thick.
However, I no longer know what mil spec covers this, if at all. Ole Kelly or Les probably does or one of those Rockwell guys.
