TIm -
I do pick and place machine (and reflow ovens and printers) benchmark studies
in my consulting practice, for both end users and the manufacturers
themselves. My work is concerned with competitive analysis rather than in-
house benchmark/calibration. I use an AccuPlace glass kit. It is a bit
expensive and there are a few others out there. A few of my clients and I
have used a kit from Applied Image (Rochester, NY). It is quite economical
and should more than suffice. If your budget is really tight, you might ask
Zevatech to loan you their AccuPlace.
