Nicholas,
         The constituents of solder flux fume are unknown. As
colophony is mainly a collection of complex residues (mostly C20
diterpene based) during thermal decomposition a great number of gases,
particulates etc. will occur. Would it be possible to divert the flue
gas to a gas chromatography/ mass spectrometer unit?
