While I don't intend to speak for Paul, I do know him well enough to say that
I don't think there was any racial slur intended...just as I don't take
offense being called a "Yank".
It's the same thing as people from Great Britain being referred to as "Brits",
or Australian people being referred to as "Aussies".
It's just a shortening of the whole word. Slang maybe, not a racial
slur...geeze, lighten up...
