HELLO ALL
YES THIS IS ROGER FROM BAE IN ENGLAND !!!!!!!!
( A SMALL ISLAND 16 MILES BY 22 MILES )
ANY WAY ENOUGH OF THAT

THE WASTE FROM ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT
(W.E.E.E.) DOCUMENT STATES THAT LEAD ALONG WITH OTHER HAZARDOUS
MATERIALS SUCH AS CADMIUM-HEXAVALENT
CHROMIUM-MERCURY-ASBESTOS-BERYLLIUM-HALONGENATED FLAME RETARDENTS
WILL BE PHASED OUT BY 2004 .

PANASONIC NOKIA TOSHIBA AND OTHERS WILL NOT BE USING LEAD IN
THERE PRODUCTS IN 2003 .
MOST OF THESE COMPANIES ARE PHASING OUT/REDUCING LEAD BY 50% NOW
(IN EUROPE).

HALONGENATED FLAME RETARDENTS ARE FR-4 SOME TALK ON, IT
IS BEST TO HAVE THIS IN OUR BOARDS, AS IT DOES PREVENT FIRES
OCCURRING

HEXAVALENT CHROMIUM IS OUR ALCHROMATE

Roger Deakin.
