I am wondering if anyone has found errors in the IPC SM782 LAND PATTERN
CALCULATOR. I feel that there may be a calculation error in
the land patterns for the TSOP, MT48LC1M16A1TG-10S,MICRON part.
The minimum Toe fillet (Jtmin) is defined as 0.005 mm, and the minimum Heel
filet is defined as 0.01 mm. This seems to be exceptionally small.
Also the Y ref given for the pad is 0.751mm. The resulting pad is quite
small and difficult to solder to.(We found it extremely difficult when
using these dimensions on a prototype board.)
If anyone has had the same problem or a similar one with land pattern
dimensions
from this calculator, please drop me a line.
Thanks,
