Guenter:
My knowledge of German is minimal; my attempt at translation of
Aggregatszustand is "aggregation state"
Depending on context here are some options. The first two are probably
what you want.
Physical state or state of matter
phase, particularly if referring to a phase diagram
condensed phase (liquids and solids)
in thermodynamics, state implies a certain pressure and temperature, as
well as phase (standard state, equation of state)
Hope this helps.

Subject: [TN] English expression
Hi all
Could someone give me the English expression to describe in what state (
solid, liquid, gas ) a substance is. In German we call it Aggregatszustand
( just a hint for those with German background ). Thanks a lot.
Best regards
Guenter
