Oh, I never answered your question on PPM data. I have no numbers at
my fingertips, but as I mentioned before, we have had processing
issues with OSP's. If there is no special fine pitch process or cost
considerations driving you to OSP, and your PCB vendors have a good
control on their HASL process, I would never give up my good ole'
tried and true HASL process. After all, nothing solders like solder!

I am working on a major program and I am trying to decide whether to
process the line to use OSP organic coating versus HASL. Does anyone
out there have any PPM data that might support such a decision? What
are the risks in going with HASL versus going with OSP?
