Well, consider yourself very lucky indeed. We have Theta inspection systems
where we are asked to pay 14K to get one e-prom and a software update to
protect only 4 machines against the Y2K. The other vendors range like Sanyo
who gives us updates for life on our chipshooters, which we get about 2 to
3 a year which always adds more and more functions.

So looks like some companies have found a way to make their Y2K year end
revenue look much better.
