MEETING OF THE SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND CHAPTER
                                         OF THE IPC DESIGNERS COUNCIL

Date: Wednesday, the 10th of February, 1999 PLEASE NOTE NEW DAY!

Where: Connie's Restaurant in Derby

Time: Meeting 6:00pm (dinner will be served at 6:30pm)

Topic: The Key to Data Transfer - GenCam for the new millennia

Just as NASA's space program has had so much influence on our world society,
now that GenCAM is off the launching pad the expectations for the new IPC
standard promise to have a similar effect on the global electronics industry.
It has taken almost two years to address the needs that meet the requirements
of the manufacturing infrastructure for receipt of intelligent design
description. That time has been well spent. Each domain involved in the
development of electronic printed boards and printed board assemblies has had
their influence on the structure and substance of the new ANSI approved
standard.

Harry Parkinson, Compaq Computer, and Chairman of the Data Transfer Solution
(DTS) Committee will make a presentation on what GenCam is, the benefits, and
who will benefit from this new format.
