Dear Gary,

My company also builds equipment for the electronics manufacturing industry
(reflow). We build equipment with the following voltage ratings: 208V, 380V,
415V or 480V. Our equipment is rated to +/- 10% of the required voltage
which means that our 415V system will work with power ranging from 360 to
440 (machine actually rated to 400V +/- 10%). I believe your customer
requires 415V/50Hz but is giving you the actual measurement as taken from
their incoming lines. I have also been told that in the UK power is
available at 415V/50Hz (+/- 6%). With this tolerance your customer could
potentially measure incoming power of 456.5 (on the high side) off the
incoming lines.

Hope this helps. Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Sincerely,

Brian Stumm
