David,

Thanks for the tip.  I should have looked there first before posting.  Live
and learn.  I looked over the last two years of archives and the drift of it
was that the white tin does not seem to have a whisker problem.  However,
there were very few comments from people who had actually soldered boards
with it.  Some negative comments appeared to relate to older processes than
the current commercial products.

Earl said he's seen some of these boards but worries about the tin surface.
Anybody care to share experiences with the current immersion white tin
products?
