Rhamilton,
There are few techniques to measure the paste deposite.
Few years back people used to weigh the boards with and without the
paste and then confirm the deposite but it was not an reliable method.
Now a days many equipments are available to perform the job like "Hunter
Z check",UBM Laser Scan,Cyber optics Laser machine and Alpha Z check
etc.It is good to have this measurement done specially if you are using
fine pitch and ultra fine pitch components.
Based on your requirements you can select an equipment.
