Richard ,
There are lot of people like us , still using tin-lead as etch resist . Very
rarely we are re-flowing tin/lead .
Why we are still working with tin/lead instead of pure tin ? Mainly due to
inertion . The process is working , we do not have environmental problems
with lead ( there is enough sulfates to settle it ) . Tin as etch resist is
not considerable cheaper compared to tin/lead . Not smart answer , but real
one .
