Annie,

It's strange but, being somewhat a board type person, I inspect all boards I buy either for myself
or others on a frequent basis. Your G-200, and all other Matrox products, have no visible defects,
nor have they ever. Neither have I experienced any other type problems. God, put me on the payrole!

I still believe your answer lies in x-sectional analysis. Quality conformance test circuitry is best
because it is consistent. That is, because it is placed consistently on each panel, it represents
all your board's features, quality requirements, and other aspects - especially those pertaining to
solderability and solder joint quality/reliability.

Short of test circuitry and coupons, you should x-section a board to see inside the cause and effect
relationships. This should be done before and after thermal stress/shock as prescribed by
appropriate IPC documentation. X-sectional analysis is the only way to see how 90% of your boards
are fabricated and what is acceptable or not.

Again, I know you folks do good work and I think your quality/reliability concerns as evidenced on
this forum. However, you must investigate any such anomaly and prevent its recurrence.

I'll send you the pix,

Earl Moon
