Hi Howard,
When you say 'HAST', what exactly do you have in mind. This terminology, and
others, have been used to describe so many divergent tests, that in themselves
without detailed specifications they are meaningless.
You need to be clear in your mind, as to what you want to accomplish with your
tests. Are the damage mechanisms active and/or dominant in this test giving
you responses that tell you something about your product. Is the information
quantitative and qualitative, or only qualitative. What part/process of your
product do you want to get information on.
There is no one test that will give you everything, but there are quite a
number of tests giving misleading information.
