In MIL-P-5510 (or was it 28809?) there is/was a requirement, as I recall, for rework
simulation. The requirement calls for soldering and unsoldering a wire in and from a plated
through hole. Again, as I recall, three is the number of times this operation would take
place to effect the specified simulation.
My follow up question would be: Does this requirement still exist in the counterpart or
replacement IPC documentation as 6012 or?
