Jeff,

We've been dealing with the "356" file since its birth in 1991. It has been
an uphill battle trying to convince the manufacturers of design software
the level of importance these files have. We have done extensive tutoring
with our customers on what 356 has to offer so that they may be more
aggressive in demanding this output. Fortunately for us, our software
vendor for test utilities has developed a powerful menu driven database to
356 converter that works very well.

As far as 356A, we have not been exposed to any of these files. I am
curious and anxious to test drive this format. Also per the IPC web site,
this version is still awaiting approval. Use this link for your
investigation...
