Dave,
we are having 3 IS Pumiflex in the plant and they are all very reliable.

We have been using a Pumiflex before innerlayer imaging, where we processed down to 0,1 mm core. But then the machine has to be very well maintained. From 0,2 mm core and above is never a problem.

The Pumiflex machines is very reliable, they are running on 4 shifts, approx. 2.000 sqm./week
Once a day we exchange pumice, approx. duration 15 min.
Once a week the brushes has to be exchanged and this last approx. 1-2 hour.
Cleaning of rinses and drying sections once a week, approx. 1 hour.
Miscellaneous maintenance; approx. 8 hours every half year.

Hope some of this will help you ...

Hi, netters
We are looking into purchasing a I-S Pumiflex Jet Pumice Scrubber Machine. I have a couple of questions I would like to ask you guys.
1. What do you think about I-S, how do they stack up against there competitors?
2. We want to use this equipment to clean are boards prior to image and were wondering how thin the material can be?
3. How reliable is this type of equipment, and how much maintenance is required to keep this type of equipment running?

I would like to thank you guys in advance for your input.
