Hello Tom!

Not too long ago (less than 2-months) we took some boards that we had
just placed our first micro-BGA's on over to get their pictures taken at the
Fein Focus office here in San Jose (at 1445 Koll Circle, Suite 107, San Jose
95112 PH: (408) 436-0838). We had 3 boards and they video taped the x-ray as
they were doing it, labeled the tape with the part number of the assembly, and
I imagine if the boards had a serial number they would've put that there too.
They charged us $125 for all 3-boards and the video tape...not too bad
compared to what a few testing labs that had x-ray capability quoted when I
called them. I.E.: Solution Sources wanted a "minimum lot charge" of $750, and
a few other places were around $300 for the 3-boards, or close to that.
Plus, I tend to like what I see with the Fein Focus machine images... don't
have to be an expert x-ray technician in order to interpret what you're
seeing, and the way the head rotates around the board gives you a pretty clear
image of what's going on instead of having to decipher all the different
shades of gray to figure out what's happened...
