Dear Technetters,
What is so crazy about laser singulation? They use a certain
laser freq./energy to cut metal for stencils; they use lasers for
engraving marks on circuit boards; they use lasers for active trimming
of thick film resistors; they use a type of laser or light source for
'soft beam' soldering. If somebody doesn't already provide this service
or equipment, maybe the technetters should chip in some capital for a
joint business venture to develop a laser with the ability to adjust
freq. and/or energy or ? so that one laser and one very accurate X-Y
table could be used for many applications. Well, enough of my Ross
Perrot impersonation.
Any and all feedback is appreciated.
