We have an assembly that uses tin plated pins and sockets for the
interconnection. We are having trouble getting the pin side in tin but is
readily available in gold. My question is "is there any long term problems
putting a gold pin in a tin plated socket"?

For years people have put I/C leads into gold sockets without problem so it
seems that this should not be a problem but thought I'd ask for any real
life experiences.

Thanks,
