I agree with the sentiments below. The confirmation effort really makes no difference to those who "choose" to commercialize their postings. Basically we are ( or at least supposed to be ) adult professionals here. Personnally I dont really mind a few commercial zings so long as I get the information Im interested in.
I have obtained a tremedous amount of information off of this formal for which I would like to thank IPC and all of you who use the forum.

As far as the confirmation goes, get rid of it. I cant tell you how often I responded to a posting while I was "taking a few moments out of a hetic schedule" to converse with my fellow techies only to pop back in my office an hour or so later and have to confirm the sending. Time lost! Need I say more.

I would like to pose one question. Does IPC feel the confirmation has been a benefit?

Thanks for you time

Rudy's insights most of the time hit the mark pretty well ; likely because
he's in the commercial business ;
and while I understand the need for not getting the floodgates open ;
to keep it dry 100% so far led us only to burden us with the obviously not
so effective confirmation rigor which just keeps putting off answers of the
busy folks .
This sort of "game" understanding is totally unrealistic ; soon we'll have
more onlookers than experts just because the new age "correctness" is way
too easy to apply .
Here we cry for answers, pissing off the same time most seasoned people in
ranks ; I've had it !
Can we grow up and have a real exchange ?

By the way Jack ; or Hugo ; is there any way we take a vote on this one ;
I'd say majority would like to lift this feature ;
would it be possible ?

Actually I'd say most of the answers do go direct nowadays ; my stats show
less answers since intro, with more people ;
it's obvious this forum is loosing mementum ; give it a thought .
Quite a few people answering before with genuine educationals in mind (yes ;
of cause it's good for business as well ; who gives a damn as long as we get
the answers );
disappeared from the scene more or less ; or give you one liners like latest
Jerry's ; in order to be politically correct .
Werner's calls to lift this lid did not find any Forum reply ; it's getting
way too constrained .

Thanks ;  Hugo ; & Jack ; & ..........
