Better late than never, but we're already into our end of quarter crunch
(24x7 on two shifts, ow!)....

As mentioned by others, us contract shops are often stuck with what we
get from customers. So we see routed/tabbed with or without 'mouse
bites' at the tabs, and v-scored assemblies. For routed/tabbed, we use a
pneumatic "tab nibbler" from cab to minimize bending stress and leave
clean edges for cosmetics. For v-scored, we use a variety of in house
designed holding fixtures to manually break edges with component
overhang, or a "pizza cutter" from cab (bottom blade fixed) for clear
runs. We used to do a lot of manual breaking of v-score, but had seen
instances of component fracture both at the edge and further into the
circuit based on how each operator handled them during depanel.
