For pins that are inserted into holes, there is an IPC standard for the
body of the pin that is tilted, twisted, bent, mushroomed, or missing
plating (IPC - A - 610 2.8.2) However, sometimes the body of a pin is
fine, but the pin is rotated in the hole relative to the other pins
(looking at it from a top view). In other words, the long length of
correctly inserted pins may be parallel to the side of the board, but the
long lenth of one pin might be perpendicular to the board (90 degrees off).
Does anybody know if there is an inspection/rejection standards for
rotation of pins?
