     Hi,

For auto. placement of SM connectors with plastic lugs, what's being
used by companies generally. Ok, the important tolerances are PCB
(PWB) drilling, placement accuracy of the equipment and the plastic
mold. Do you just add the placement and drill tolerances together
adding them to the maximum recommended hole dimension in the data
sheet? Are there other factors? What are your practical experiences?
What happens when the lugs miss the holes and the placement equipment
continues to drive the lugs through the substrate? When you add up the
possible tolerances, is there any point having lugs in the first
place? Do connector companies consider auto. placement for these
     parts?

     Regards
