Hi Joy,
There is a way, if you place an impedance coupon on the panel and have
a TDR. This, of course, assumes that you know the line width and line thickness
beforehand. Then, depending on the construction, the TDR can provide you with
the Impedance value. You will then have to back calculate the dielectric
thickness from the impedance equation. There are several assumptions that must
be made here, and some prior knowledge must be at hand, especially the
Dielectric constant (Dk or Er) of the laminate.
